Bears WR Johnny Knox released from hospital on Christmas EveDecember 27, 2011
Peggy Kusinski learned that Bears WR Johnny Knox was released from the hospital on Christmas Eve, just days after he underwent spinal surgery to repair a vertebrae injured last week against the Seahawks.
Knox was injured on a devastating hit by Anthony Hargrove as he was trying to recover a fumble caused by Kam Chancellor in the first half of the game. Luckily for Knox, the injury is not expected to be career-threatening, and he should be able to resume his football career after a few months of intensive rehab.
And while the injury was certainly unfortunate for Knox, it is good to hear that he got to spend Christmas at home, with his family.
